As many of you may remember, a few years ago I lived in Philadelphia. Back then, I had an older co-worker who loved to shop at Dressbarn. On our lunch break, we would often venture to the store so she could browse their selections. Over the years, the image and fashion in Dressbarn began to evolve. They went from being the place where my “older co-worker” shopped to a place where I began to shop. Dressbarn was always dependable for great quality clothing for the office especially when they held their spring/summer dress events.
I recently received an opportunity from Dressbarn to review one of their swimsuits. When I was initially introduced to the opportunity, I instantly thought to myself “they sell swimsuits at dressbarn?”.I am still unsure of why I questioned it, I guess it was because I honestly (like most of you reading this) never associated dressbarn with swimwear. It certainly is not my first option of places to shop for swimwear. I have to admit, I had a huge sigh of relief when I had trouble narrowing down swimwear I wanted to review. After some deliberation, I was able to narrow down my choices to three suits.
I was excited when I received the DELTA BURKE ® Plus Size Shirred Tummy Control Tank Suit. I followed the size chart and ordered the suit in a size 20. Normally I struggle to put on any swimsuit with body shaper support. This suit was easy to put on, and it literally fell into place with very little adjusting. The ruched center with the added tummy control shaper was a comfortable fit, and I saw the difference when I viewed myself in the mirror. The construction of DELTA BURKE® swimsuit is very durable. I actually wore it a few times while I worked out at home because I was unable to get to a pool to test it out fully. I am particularly fond of the built-in bra that realistically provides support (I am a 42C).
